Description
BEP Remote Operated Voltage Sensitive Switch – 24 Volts
These Voltage Sensitive Switches automatically sense voltage to provide optimal, automatic charging of a second independent battery bank. The dual sensor VSSs allow the battery banks to be combined or isolated based on the presence of any charging source (such as an engine alternator or battery charger), while also offering remotely activated, high current, emergency parallel connection of the banks.
Designed and constructed for longevity in the marine nvironment with tinned copper conductors, stainless steel nuts and high temperature, fibre reinforced plastics. The units are ignition protected, provide On/Off switching operation, and may be recessed or surface mounted.
114080 features digital circuitry and optical sensor positioning which provides:
• Up to 67% reduction in stand-by current draw (5mA)
• Multi voltage – auto selects between 12V and 24V DC operation (both battery banks must be either 12 volt, or both 24 volt)
• Increased accuracy of voltage measurement through digital circuitry
• Lowered cut in voltage 13.3V (26.6V for 24V) also suits low output alternators, and high temperature environments
• Same easy installation with Wago plug provided as 113672 and 113680
The Voltage Sensitive Switches can be operated through a momentary switch (113545) on the dash which will parallel the batteries for the preset time of 10 minutes. Once the 10 minutes has passed, if the voltage has increased sufficiently through charging, it will stay engaged. If not, it will disengage and isolate the battery banks.
