Description
Dan-Fender – Fender2Step
Dan-Fender Fender Step and Fender2Step
The popular original patented Dan Fender FenderStep has now been joined by Fender2Step. By incorporating an additional second step the new Fender2Step offers the features and benefits of a traditional heavy-duty inflatable fender with the boarding advantages that the ever-popular original FenderStep provides. The addition of the extra step makes it ideal for boarding vessels with high topsides or for children’s use.
The unique shape provides hull protection as well as two convenient boarding steps. The high topsides of many modern vessels make boarding difficult from either a marina finger or from small dinghies.
The combined fender and two steps feature allows it to be rigged before entering a marina enabling the crew to safely and easily step onto the pontoon without resorting to leaping.
Fender2Step is designed to take a maximum weight of 100kg and is securely attached to any vessel via rope to a maximum of 10mm.
Both the Dan FenderStep and Fender2Step are manufactured using the same injection moulding process and marine grade PVC materials as the range of Dan Fender heavy-duty inflatable fenders.
A high-grade metal valve with protective dirt and salt screw cap is integrated within the rope attachment point. Eye Diameter 18mm
All Fenders are supplied deflated.
Inflation The best way to inflate a Fender is to push air pressure from a compressor with a flat head against the valve. It is also possible to inflate the Fender with a bicycle pump with the special adaptor (SP379). The best inflation pressure is 0.2 bar. (2.9 psi). You should be able to press the body of the Fender easily with your flat hand. Do not use a needle (soccer ball) type inflation piece, as the pin can damage the valve. The correct piece to use is an air gun with a tapered end that fits into the end of the valve. Be careful not to overinflate.
