While the worm drive winch is excellent for holding loads securely without slipping, remember that the gear ratio of 31:1 means you will need to turn the handle multiple times to move the load. This is great for control but can be a workout if you’re handling heavy loads regularly.
Also, since winch cables are sold separately, it’s worth checking the cable length and type you need for your specific trailer or application before purchase. A Dynemma Rope will provide better corrosion resistance, especially in marine environments.
